over oiling for VG30e
#2
Not exactly sure what meaning you are using for over oiling. If you are talking ablout putting 6 quarts or more in an engines oiling system that requires lets say 5 quarts I wouldn't recommend it . I doubt the VG came with a windage tray and
all that oil would mean the crank is turning through the added oil. It would be much safer to just add a Accusump system for those times were the stock system would be inadequate .

BTW... My friend used a dip stick on his turbo L28 that was not for that car , so when he checked the oil it showed it was low . He ended up with about 7 quarts of oil in the system and all the excess ended up as blow by , and I really mean blow by big blue halo around the car when it was under load .

Basically I was going a bass ackwards way of asking if the VG30 has any lubrication problems. Someoneelse on another site informed me that none of the z31 IT guys do anything with their oiling system except for oil coolers and remote mounts. I'm only doing autocross, I don't need anything to keep it cooler and the stock location is big enough for an FL1A/PF2, so I have no need for a remote locator.
