GTZillas's Custom Control Arms
Looks like ICSCC is running in Portland this weekend . May 3rd and 4th. I wonder if he will be there .

I agree with some interesting stuff.
Notice how the sway bar adjusts and
how the lower control arm adjusts. I am also trying to figure out the vertical piece next to the strut.

ICSCC is also called Conference racing. It isn't as strict and hard core as SCCA .They Have several classes that each car will fit in , so you or your co driver can get a lot of seat time in during one weekend.
Take a run out to PR this weekend and check it out. Pits usually are wide open and the guys love to chat with you. I bet there will be at least 8 Z's there .

Hi all, Mike sent me a heads up on this list. I see Tom Holt is here as well. Hey Tom. I talked to you last year about some take offs for your FP car.
BTW, yes that rod is a shock. The strut is empty and has a coil-over spring on it. The shock is a Spax adjustable. This is a popular set up for the mini-stock roundy-round guys. Ultimately I would like to go to an upper-lower a-arm type set up, but without a job right now everything is on hold. Even racing
The sway bar is a tubular bar type and is splined on each end. Adjustment takes about 5 minutes and they work well. They can be used on a stock Z with a little modifcation.
I have a web site up with some more pictures, and a pathetic (but sincere) plea for crew help and sponsorship.

Also ICSCC (AKA Conference) is a Northwest race sanctioning body. The fields normaly are around 200 cars, compared with SCCA's 30-40 car fields. SCCA de-certified Pacific Raceways a couple of years ago, and although it has been recertified, SCCA can't get any dates there (except for the double national weekend) so they race at Bremerton. Bremerton is a old air field and the course basically sucks. ICSCC also races at Portland, Mission BC, and Thunderhill!
Cheers

Hey thanks guys, I'll take you up on your offers
I *should* be in Portland June 7/8. Thunderhill depends on funding, but I REALLY want to drive that track. Conference has a 3 day weekend with two races Aug 29-31. It's penciled in.
The website is still being updated, and I'll have some in-car video from PIR and PR as soon as I transfer from VHS to digital. The original tape was stolen along with the camera a while back, so I have to dub it back onto the new digital. Also there is a "live" feed from the shop (my garage) that can be accessed 24/7 to see what's currently happening. That will be coming soon as well. Great if your having a hard time sleeping
Cheers
