well,

finally after a year and 4 months i finally got my pilots license and am starting my IFR rating. oh yes, its a glorious day after all. thanks to school problems (switching instructors alot) and weather problems (november is a **** month) it took my about 4-5 months to long. shoulda been done with it this past summer. but thats when i started getting switched around on instructors. but any who... i passed my test in flying colors yesterday, so now i get my temp license written out tommorow supposedly, and get my real one mailed to me in like.... 0-120 days, on average less than 90 days.... yeah, its pretty awsome. maybe if my school changes its insurance policy to like it used to be they will allow planes to stay out over night like before and i can fly myself to MSA next year

playa!!!!

besides... how would it be much different than driving there? lol. other than more expensive....

haha, you could go first class commercial for less than the fuel would cost.

fuel is included in rental time and its by hours of operation. i think 172's are like 100 something an hour. however when they get new motor they are discounted down to i think close to just fuel time and are cross country planes only so they can get the motors broken in faster. which happens quite often actually. by often i mean about 2-4 planes a year get that status.

If I'm flying it's usually on the ground on my bike, or in a fast car. I figure if I was meant to fly in the air, I woulda been born with feathers. lol

haha. you guys. hey mike, you live in springfield right? i dont have a sectional chart yet that goes any further south than champaign but i can get a st. louis one, and probably fly down to you in a matter of 2 hours or less. if i get up early enough and the school wont care if i keep the plane all day i can maybe help you out with your bumpers and fascia and then ill take your scared *** up in a cessna for a quick spin around your area. lol. i wonder if there is a prohibited are around the capitol building....

Sounds good snw, come on down! Probably less than 2 hours....whats the top speed in one of those? I was thinkin more like an hour or so. Nothing personal.....but I'll have to pass on the ride in the Cessna though. I agree with spraguepsycho, I'll do all my flying on the ground...
