it makes sense, but all in all, i think by the time he has gotten to be one of the two major competitors for the presidency, he has a pretty good idea. there is so much to the whole system, the few years that mccain has on obama, i don't think would really make a big difference in their effectiveness, as i believe that experience isn't the only factor that matters. the basic plans that they propose are the more important part to look it IMO

we have a saying in the army, what they say will happen and what actually happens are usually the opposite of what happens.

yeah true stuff. but that goes for both candidates. so if that holds true, i don't think the question is who to vote for, but whether or not to stay in the country.

Looks like this election going right down to the wire. Might be awhile before we know who wins.

Thats because they already gave Obama all the New england states (plus POS Illinois) that everybody knew he'd win. Its all going to boil down to the battleground states: Ohio, PA, North carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Florida. Could go either way folks.....

i hate the f-ing electoral college. when the electors vote against the state's popular vote, that whole state's worth of votes are wasted. i hear this happens 20% of the time.... hate this system

What do you mean? I thought the only thing that matters is the total of votes for the state, to determine where the electoral votes go. I've never heard of the electors overruling the people's votes.

ok i am the odd one out---i didnt vote---i dislike all the candidates so much there is no choice---even nader ****ed my car--i liked corvairs----funner than hell to drive and economical...and i am not suited for office-i would roll back their incomes to 1780 leve;s---and that would kill th enational deficit and make everyone love me---but that aint rite, mon------so i abstain....none of the props is worth my time either---technically i have no address---so i donot care what happens in dago---but the prez thing--isnt gonna be people vote gets the guys elected---we ALL know this is a republic--when formed was of the landholder by the landholder and for the landholder, who were the only humans considered "men" n therein .....now the special interest groups just happen to be corporations and if one were to research govt by corporation,.l one would find some very interesting information.....the special interests control the govt and the electoral college.....aint no secha thaing as democracy.......aint no better man to win----aint any good politicians.....shady---the electoral college overruled the peeps in nixons election---i voted for pat paulson in that one, i believe.....--

the electoral college has a certain amount of people who will vote. say in california there like 100 million people, so that makes like 10 electoral votes, its based on population, but the entire system is under criticism because you have states like alaska who have a very small population and states like NY who have a big population, its very ****ed up and the reason why i dont normally vote.
