zhag: they arn't only saving snoties, they would save you too! and they do do their part to defend the country. after 9-11, there were coasties all around the brooklyn bridge and stuff. they also do a lot of ice breaking so that trade ships can travel well. they do a lot more then you seem to give them credit for!

they wont be saving me because i write on my chest before i go out----CHUM....and i believe as my tallshipman uncle did about being saved-----and i admire and respect the divers ----they are a very different bunch of guyz who have great personalities and LOVE to swim----even in hurricanes and waaaay too many of those crews are lost at sea trying to save snotty yachties who dont care what is coming at them from mother nature---and have no respect for weather--leave port knowing nothing---oops(the snottys)----but coast guard is greAT---- as long as they stop and board someone else's boat at sea-----they have been known to wreak much irreparable damage to boats they board at sea....................oops.............otherwise they are great......oh---did i say they do not need a reason to board your boat in the middle of the ocean if they so feel it within their desires for the day.....suspicion, ber damned-----the recreational boater in the usa is , according to the king of the coast guard, in 2007----THE greatest threat to national security.......
