new guy needs advise
I have a chance to get my hands on a 91 twin turbo z. The owner wants to trade for my moded 88 t top mustang but the z isnt running. The guy that now owns the car got it from someone else and I think it may be too much for him to repair. I was told it has timing belt issues. I had someone try to start it while I looked down the oil cap hole. I see that the cam is turning. I it possible that the timing belt is ok and the problem is something else. The car only has 80000 miles on it.

Of course it's possible... but it's also possible that some moron put the belt on wrong and, being an interference engine, the valves are now smashed. Have an expert look at it to figure out what's wrong - these cars can be VERY expensive to fix if it's serious. Compression test at minimum.
