Quick question about cam timing. I'm trying to look up info and learn about it, but with valve timing related to the cam specs, when the intake/exhaust open/close number is higher does that mean it's retarded? For example if Intake opens at 16 and closes at 44 would that mean then if advancing the cam gear to the 3rd position your intake would now be opening at 8 and closing at 36? Or would it be the other way around. If I'm figuring this right then putting in the N/A cam in my turbo motor would mean that my cam timing would be more retarded, opening my intake later and closing later than the old Turbo cam. Which might explain why my low end feels like it pulls less, but the motor seems to rev up extremely fast and want to rev high. I'm trying to understand this, but can't find the exact answer. Just the main thing I've found is that advancing the cam timing seems to move the powerband around.

That will liven up the Fiero!!!

I located a complete, running, good condition L28ET from an '83 ZX for $600. Talk about tempting me to make a swap for my N/A L28 in my '78 Z!!!!

My biggest hesitation is the fact my '78 has been converted to carbs, so all of the wiring I need to connect things to may or may not be present!

when you go turbo in a S30 you pull out the factory EFI harness anyways and stick in the one and all the sensors and gear from a turbo. ECU wiring harness AFM injectors, dizzy with CAS etc...

It will livin it up very nicely, I had the 3800SC, but someone needed it more then me, and had the budget to persuade me. so a 50K 4.3Vortec and this new T04E landed in my lap for a lil under 500$. eh why not.

You are trying to link to pictures attached to an email within your own Gmail account. That doesn't work. Use photobucket or some other image hosting website.

Yeh, I tried. These Gov computers won't let us use photo sharing sites, so getting them up is next to impossible for me.
