Quick question. Does a transmission from a 84 300ZX-T fit a 280ZX?

Only if you can swap the bellhousings and the input shaft length and spline count is the same.

Hello everyone!!!! Still no luck on a 280zx yet

I did however sell my second Jeep... the Grand Cherokee and found a rare car that I ended up getting... (No 280zx in this price range in good condition)

I found a 1995 Ford Taurus SHO. It is fully loaded, leather, factory JBL sound system, 3.2L Yamaha V6, and automatic. Something like 9,560 made in 1995. I have no idea how many auto's were made or even how many SHO's from '95 are left in the world. I paid $1,000 for this car and so far it's just been minor issues and sensor replacements as well as some cleaning things up. Engine is strong and the car is pretty darn quick. Still... it's not a 280zx.

The pics are from about an hour after I got the car home and stopped to show my girl.

Got proof?

Maybe an S30 but I have never heard of it in an S130. I think it would be cool and holy crap fast.

That's why I said "S30".

Look on HybridZ under other engine swaps.

Is it bad I'm really excited about picking up a 33-year old car with a little rust tomorrow?

Gonna check my plug colors now that I've adjusted the fuel down to 2.5-3.0psi and hope I see an improvement!

Got a quick response from WolfCreek. Gotta reply with my current setup and then I'll purchase some jets and hopefully get the Z running like it should!

And... Did something to make my #2 starter disc not move while I had the float chamber open. That explains the richness on #3 & #4 cylinders and the idle lope that wasn't there before. Thank goodness for the pump jet setup, otherwise starting this morning would have been an issue.

What cracks me up, is the lack of power (tiny mains) but yet the intake sounds make it sound WAY faster than it actually is! It's kinda like a classic race car winding up ~
