Man I miss my 280ZX. Something about it was just so different. I haven't driven my 280Z to really compare, but even though my Z31 is faster, roomier, more comfortable, much nicer overall something about that old rustoleum painted 280ZX was special. I miss it.

I can apparently wire up my tach two ways. Using the wire that came off the negative turbo coil that has an inline resistor and attaching it to the old N/A negative coil wire, or directly to the tach. Or apparently I can just put the old N/A negative terminal wire to the Turbo coil and it'll power my tach. Recommendations?
Oh by the way when I purhcased a new oil sending unit for the Z I bought a two-pronged one for the turbo motor instead of an oil sending unit for the 76' Z. I'm assuming I connected the line for the oil pressure gauge to one of the prongs on the new sending unit and my gauge just went to full pressure with the key in the on position. So I tried the other prong and my gauge seemed to work as it should. So I'm assuming the two pronged unit I purchased is an oil pressure/temp sending unit in one? Does anyone know if this is fine to use or should I go buy the single pressure sending unit for the 76' Z?

Hopefully I get a chance to get the Z up on a lift or just up soon so I can redo the oil-pump. The timing is way off. If I try to set the dizzy in a spot where the bolts can hold it down the timing is super retarded and can barely run. So I remove the bolts and keep turning it until I can get it to run and then it's like way over 30 BTDC.
Although I got my Temp gauge and my Tach working! I read someone took the old negative coil wire and hooked it to the negative terminal on the new coil. Didn't work for me, so I just as a test put a crimp connector on the old negative coil wire and ran it to the resistor and got it to work. This is when I was able to see I was running a 2000RPM idle.
