The bike is doing better!!
Some minor second degree burns and a few abrasions on my right hand but now the carbs are together as one!! The other day I fixed my torn diaphragm and today since it is so very nice outside I went ahead and decided to sync the carbs. I warmed the bike up so I could properly set the carbs and brought her home to set her on the center stand. Once on the stand I hooked up my manometer, set the petcock to PRI and started the bike. The right carb was pulling alot more vacuum. Off with the tank!! I have my lock nut on the adjuster just tight enough that the adjuster screw or "balancer screw" wont move on its own. I have a special small flat head screw driver that I use to make minuscule adjustments with so I proceeded to adjust the carbs.
It took a few minutes to get them close and I gave it a little check with the throttle to see how far off they were, not far at all. A few more tiny bits of adjustment and I got them to sit within 2mm of each other and gave it another wrap of the throttle. At this point they are so close that I could actually hear and feel the difference in smoothness getting much much better. One final tweak and at idle both sides of the manometer are within 1mm on the ruler of each other at 1,300rpm. At 4,000rpm both sides are within 2mm of each other. I shut the bike off, disconnected the manometer, put the tank back on, hooked up the vacuum line and capped the other vacuum port. Once the tank was secured with its bolt I took the bike out for the test ride.
Smooth smooth smooth. The backfiring under engine braking seems to have gone away and the bike seems a tad bit quieter. In a few days I will check my plugs again and see how the color is on them. I am hoping to gain some MPG and as it sits now it already seems to be performing better and not acting up like before. The power doesn't seem any different so far compared to when I sealed the diaphragm but it is smoother running so we will see what happens next. I think the carbs have a whole lot to do with how these bikes run and I am learning that more and more each time I fix and tweak them. All and all I am very happy with the little 440 LTD though it is not a ZX.

well I re-hinged my giant airplane drilled the prop re-assembled it... now my hands are coated in glue and it took me 7 hours but well worth it. unfortunately my tail wheel keeps coming loose and i loose steering... i also still have to re-drill my wing spar and tail spar so i can get a tighter fitment on them after a year and everything settling in i developed some small small gaps between the wings and the fuselage meaning they can tilt ever so slightly. not something you want to happen in flight wont crash it but will screw with its flight characteristics. and could cause some breakage.

i sold my beeter for 500 dollars--now i just have to sell my 50th anniversary edition Z and i am out of here....
Holy crap....just when I was feeling down about not having a chick and was sitting outside in my driveway at 1:00am this morning a chick walked by as I was on the phone with my friend in Ga. I stopped him mid conversation and just blurted out the words..."Hey There, what's your name?" Instead of spitting on me as most good looking chicks do she actually told me her name and I told her mine. She continued down the road and I ended my conversation on the phone and just chilled in the driveway for a bit. A few minutes later she came back as I was playing with my cell phone and she walked up to me and just started talking to me...well I am a chatty person so we struck up a pretty good conversation. Her sister called her on her cell and she said she had to go but before she left she made it a point to get my phone number and I actually gave her my real number! She said she was happy that she was not the only person up all night as she has nobody to talk to. I said feel free to come on over, I am up all night most nights and I like to chat it up...she said cool, which room is yours and I told her. She said can I knock on your window so I don't wake anyone up and I said sure thing.
I may be able to finally "cuddle" with a girl again. <---- that's for WildMan

i would love to get 4500 for her ---talk to me --you are a goood potential owner for her--she rocks!! and i traded the baja babe buggy for a lappy....now i have to get a charger/invertor for the yankee clipper i am restoring---i would seriuously trade her for one with remote panel.....2000 or 2500 watts-----i f yopu can get me one of those--rebuilt or however---with remote panel, i will trade for the car----makes the car cost less for buyer and the thingie is priceless to me---i am also looking for a perkins 4-108 engine--diesel--for the boat---either of those items =one Z turbo--so would be a goood deal for someone with access to those items----is that a possibility?? call me, sugah--you still have my number??

heart interface/xantrex 2000 or 2500 watt charger invertor.....marine model preferably----coooool---goood luck--is important fo rmy boat to have that and not so much so for me to have car....will be leaving via sailboat in hopefully april and man coming to meet/help/etc--crew vs mate--has a truk.....so i donot need a car......!!!!
you know what TOF? i am actually re-considering making payments to you to getting that 88 back and just dropping a new turbo/exhaust and fixing god knows what else is wrong with it now. because i was going to holset the next turbo z i get anyway and i always wanted to get more in depth with nistune as well as go coilover.

not both....thecharger/invertor should be less than 3500....rebuilt is even less---but it needs the remote panel....i found a 65 hp perkins for 1200---i am hoping it fits....the engine part is under control, but the charger-invertor controls the electrical function of the boat.....

is for a boat and has only 50 hp....and is a factory rebuild--i found a 65 hp diesel by perkins for 1200......and a 4-108 for 500, and a charger invertopr can be as low as 500 dollars and high as 3500---depending on stastus...i like rebuilt, not necessarily by factory---i already found the engine tho---just need the charger invertor combo with panel(remote)---if done correctly, the 50AE would only cost you 500-1500, hoov---a bargain fvor you and the result is priceless for me.....and there arent many things left to do on my Z.....she runs goooood...smooth.....fAAST..bodysonic amplification that works and the control for the suspension functions and....beeeeyotching betty(talking lady) doesnt work---
