ok guys im having an overheating problem with my dads car. one side of the radiator gets really hot at idle but the other side stays at the proper temp he just put in a new thermostat and coolant so if you guys have any advise it would be appreciated and i almost forgot the side that gets hot is the side the fan is on but the fan works in intrevals of about 30 seconds on then 30 seconds off.

 

that... is the dumbest thing ive ever heard.... why do you think theres a radiator, hot water comes in on one side from the engine cools as it passes through the radiator and then goes back through on the other so one side will be hotter than the other, though i dont even know how you would figure that out you touching it... unless the temp guage (which is placed where it should be thats the only temp that maters) sayd the car is overheating then there isnt a problem.

 

true that. i've been searching my *** off for an explanation on the operation of the variable valve timing that the turbos sometimes had. could someone tell me how this works on these?

good other than needing new shocks and springs but so far so good hows your turbo vq going?

 

said screw it to nissan motors and im gonna swap in a stock ls1/t56 for now and just build the car off that.
