New to Zdriver

Hey my name is Alex, I'm 19 and new to Zdriver. I have recently started a search for an Datsun S30 Z. What do I plan to do with it? I plan to make it a good, competitive Autox car. But here is a little bit about me...

I'm a car enthusiast and have always been a fan of the Z. I currently drive a 1998 Rally Blue Pearl Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. I bought it at the age of 17 working off a part-time job and school. Purchased completely stock, I've been modding it and Autox'ing it for the past 2 years. Of course I needed a loan at the time and I'm almost finished paying it off, thus the search for a Z. I placed 3rd in my Novice(GSN) year at Autocross in my Impreza, with myself not attending every event that season(not bad I guess...think I could have gotten second if I attended them all). But yeah...that's just a bit about myself...Part-time worker, college student, 19, and an overall car enthusiast is how I come across I suppose, haha!

I'll be around these forums reading about the S30 Z's and maybe might find "that" one for sale here.

w00t! Welcome to ZDriver!

I just finished an L28ET turbo motor swap into my 280z and planned to sell it... but I'm kinda far from ya.

Pics here if interested: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/240z-260z-280z-motor-swaps-non-v8-269/l28et-s30-tucked-like-stock-only-better-pic-heavy-30516/

Thanks

Looks good! I wish you were closer though! haha...might be out of my budget to spend on shipping if I were to get it though.

I don't think I can post pics yet, but I may have just sourced a 240Z(Like 5 min. ago!). Its a project car, not running(I'll change that!), and its already blue(favorite color, just like my Impreza). Plus its only $850...which sounds pretty decent for the prices I've seen them going on other craigslist ad's.

Sweet! Hopefully it's ends up to be a good deal... not too many 240z's on the road these days.

So after about a month searching...I gave up on a few after I saw them in person and finally bought one. I'll be picking it up on the 25th. I finally got a loan out to get one and I went to look and test drive a 1973 Datsun 240z. It's about 85% restored, 112k miles, new paint(non original dark blue paint), and practically rust free. A true keeper. I would have bought it when I test drove it, but a vehicle title can not be transfered on a Sunday in PA from what the owner was saying. So, I did the next best thing and put a deposite on the car. I still can't post pics, but when I have enough post, I sure will.
