New To zdriver

Hey I'm new to zdriver. I just bought a black on black 90TT. It's the best thing that ever happened to me.

It's bone stock except for the stereo. It runs like a crack head from the cops.

j/p. Welcome to the Darkside and ZDriver.com. When you have a problem or need to know something, search first please... over the past 17 years, almost any question you could think of has already been asked and most likely answered (and yes, that includes the dumb ones like "can I run my Z on hydrogen?").

Thanks for the advice. I've noticed how some people get roasted for not using the search option.

Oh God it's great. I made everyone I work with watch the twin turbos kick in comercial at least 5 times. It was 78 degrees today and I took off the t-tops for the first time. I can't explain it. I've wanted this car since I was 10 years old. The only thing that sucks about having a Z is that I don't have diplomatic immunity from speeding. I wish I had a harem that I could use as leverage to bribe a congressman or something.

That comercial actually makes me tear up a little Damn shame I had neither the money or the maturity to buy a TT brand new in 96 when I was in the Army. Oh well, it's for the best, I would have murdered it through neglect.

I know what you mean though man, my Z is the only car I've ever had that makes me smile while I drive

Ok here are some of the mods I want to do. I may need your help. My car only has 16,811 original miles on it so I want to be tasteful. I want to get the Z1 motorsports 400hp package, An underdrive pulley (with 60k service) and an intercooler upgrade. Cosmetically, I want to put on the 99 jspec xenon headlights and put on clear turn signal markers. Finally, I want to put on new wheels and tires. What do you guys think?

That sounds pretty tasteful. I'm pretty sure the stock i/c's are good for well over 400 h.p., so upgrading them may be a little overkill.

16XXX???? if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay? and where do you live?

some people are against the hks hyper exhaust due to its "ricer" looks. it is the best flowing catback for the z tho. many people will recommend either the Specialty Z exhaust, or B&B exhaust. both of which i believe sound and look the best out of all the options. they are more expensive as well

if you havent yet, try shopping around for parts for your TTZ. RIZZ'Z link page below has a list of vendors. i would recommend shopping at importpartspro.com, conceptzperformance.com and specialtyz.com. also, check out ashspecz.com for your ecu

also, you should look into the jspec bumper and taillights.

I paid about 18k for it. It was worth every penny. The car is almost perfect. 3 door dings, (someone should pay with their life for that) and I guess the front bumper could be repainted. There are some rock chips b/c the guy I bought it from drove it from Penn. to Springfield Mo. As for the HKS I think it looks pretty cool and aggressive, not to ricey.

Those headlights are a must. I don't care if they're 1800 dollars. I'll pimp out my little sister to get them.

WHY! there is almost NO difference in lights, the glass doesnt have the nipples on them, and they are Xenon, you can convert yours to Xenon for 200 dollars and it works just as good if not better than stock Xenon headlights because you can choose what K rating you want and the car has projectors for mainlights stock, so they work perfectly.

EDIT: and i see your from springfield Missourri... not rediculously far from me, specially if i make my way down to SIU some weekend. B300Z is prolly much closer though.

you can get HIDs and someone over on 3zc.com made the 99 headlight insert, though im not sure how well it ended up. if both of these are plausible, you would be saving a pretty penny.

if not, check conceptzperformance for the left had drive modified 99 headlights
