Unless you're travel'n further than Conneticut (sp?) .. you've got no chance. There's a guy who drives down every year .. from Conneticut .. and wins that award!

As for any rain at MSA .. it's SoCAL .. IT NEVER RAINS there! (OK it did in 2005, when I went .. I haven't been back since .. and it hasn't rained. I'm not going this year .. so you're safe!)

It will rain far less than 72% of your trip. The weather has been great in Washington. Oregon should be good as well.

 

they have the wash rack and everything there wax/soap.. there on saturday when the sale is going on, and yea... the guy drive from like far east to get there.. hahaha

 

Shady, there is a public car wash (hand wash, of course) just down the street from the hotel. I went there last year. I bring my own soap and supplies with me. We'll just need to get some change before we go. (US change of course)

what if... for some unknown reason... he didn't make it all the way to Cali this year...

Where are you guys staying?

I'm still thinking of spending saturday night up there so I can hang out with some of you guys.

It beats getting up at 4:30 in the morning on Sunday and driving up there.

Dunno where that hotel is, but I'll prolly stay there too. I had a dream about MSA last night... we were all eating dinner & everyone took off for the show & my car wouldn't start so I didn't make it. I woke up pretty pissed.

 

Apollo called me yesturday and is setting up the reservations in my name. I don't know the hotel name yet but it might be the same one we stayed at last year. Shady, Pick, and Bleach are sharing cost of a room. Rod you can party with us and stay there if you wish. We'll even have the room for Sunday night if you want. I don't want to drive to SanDiego late Sunday like I did last year.

Lets all make sure our cars start and not leave anyone behind.

That weather is perfect but that's not SoCal. It'll probably be warmer in LA and SanDiego.

I like it less than 85 deg. 68-85 F is good for me

Anyway... I think my Z is ready for the drive. I got most of the interior back in, adjusted the fuel pressure, timing, and put in my old school 8" Kicker subs so I can at least listen to some good tunes. I still need to finish my hid projector headlight install & take the car for a semi-long distance cruise to make sure it can take a trip. Last but not least, I gotta write a 5 page debate paper for my Spanish class final... due 4/26, leave for LA 4/27.

 

i took the car out for a longer drive today, new t-stat, and extra wiring to help the previous problem, it all seems ready. ill be carrying quite the tool and parts inventory just in case i, or a any fellow z-ers get into trouble where ever it may be. i even got the 4 point harness into the pass. side now!! no sub for me, never got the time i needed

 

I accidently bent the valve cover vent hose bracket over which touched the throttle linkage causing my throttle stick and the engine redlined while I was in the process of adjusting my new BOV. Nothing blew up except for the alternator belt. Strangely, it broke in half.

I fixed the problem with my CD player turning off at random. I picked up a spare tire... and I still have a lot to do.

 

Just an FYI... here are the info papers MSA sent.

havent heard from zach since the brake job, he was supposed to be driving back to cali with the car. he lives like 5 minutes from the park, so he better show, his car is even in good shape too. and is rose going??? she needed a room or something, so i read at the top. who is sharing rooms anyhoo??? i know i got a room with bleach,(courtesty of apollo) but we can fit more, that also bring the cost for everyone down. and you can usually rent cotts, so if your a homofobe, then its safe!!! lol

 

one week away... so are we all meeting somewhere before first? so we all can roll in together, so we can park next to each other.. that way we can have a little meet before the show and get to know each other first..

 

yeah, i wont be there . funds are just a little tight, especially considering fuel prices. so maybe NEXT year i wont have recently completed a real estate transaction, and will be able to make it. i really wanted to go this year though....
