That's why I posted my schedule. Its what I did last year and it works well. Plus we meet up with Apollo and L-Dub at the end of the first day.

Thursday we have to leave very early in the morning though to make it into the SanFran area by 5pm or so. That's the longest day of driving.

The next day isn't bad at all. 6-7hours but its split up with bowling mid afternoon. We do arrive in the LA area (city of Orange) late Friday but I would hope we have hotel arrangements done prior. If Apollo can't get something set up then I'll have my own room ready somewhere in the area. I might be bringing my own passenger so I'll probably room with her if that happens.

After Sunday I'm going south ...so you other folks can head home in 2 days or whatever you choose. I plan to drive to Sacramento or maybe a little further in one day. Then the rest of the trip the next day.

So in 2006 when I left the Seattle area at 3:30am I had breakfast in Salem Oregon at about 8am (got lost in Portland, hehe... took a wrong turn)
Then lunch was at Subway somewhere in northern California. Dinner at In N Out in Oakland.

So same as last year, cept maybe the adition of E? Wait for the northern peoples to get to Oakland, eat then possibly chill at my casa and crash. Head out of either my place or ZCG friday morning like last time in San Jose, heading south on 101. Stop in SB for lunch and bowling, then continue south to finish in Orange.

yes, that's the plan exactly! Entropy and Shady280 will be joining me for the cruise from Washington to Oakland.

I'll add your map to my page. You see about those hotel rooms in Orange, k buddy?

I wrote 10am on Friday as the time to meet at The Garage but I don't really remember what time we met last year. 9am might be better.

aight finally got pre-registered. didnt get the t-shirt, keeping it a cheap trip, although the garage sale will be a hard day. i did a yahoo map, its 1292 miles for me!! 20 hrs 32 minutes to msa front door. or for the metric folks like me, its 2078 km. so if my car goes 400km to a tank, ill have to stop 5 times for gas alone! and up here its 60 bucks a tank, therefore im gonna spend 300 in gas. what are the prices down there? up here they are 90 cents a liter.

Probably of no use, but I thought I would extend the offer:
Anyone that needs a place to crash on I-5 just south of the Canadian border can have the floor in my Dorm room. I'll even treat you to some average Res Hall food and all the hot freshmen you can oggle.

Just extending the offer.

Wish I could come, sounds like a hoot

In WA gas is about 2.60/gal (do you use premium?)
expect CA to be about 2.80 right now

yup its preimium gasoline for me, 92 octane or higher. i may swap to the 3.54 ratio i had b4, but then my car would be slower, so its really a debate, fast accel, or fuel milage. the taller gears would prolly only save 50 bucks in gas anyway. unless someones mad math skillz can figure it oot
