what did that ultimate rice cost, and what performance benefit was gained? my guess is "alot" and "none". %#^@ing kids....

In fact, MANNNNY tuners convert LHD to RHD (mainly Nissan and Honda drivers).......I can't understand how you didn't know about that.

LoL, well I understand where you’re coming from, it is a pretty big waste (especially in a LHD country), unless one of the following:
1. Making an accurate conversion or replica.
2. Making a show car and trying to get additional points.
3. You happen to have a LHD car in a RHD country.
4. You have the parts, the time, the patience, and figure, "why the hell not?"
I'm pretty sure most of the conversions done in the states don't fall under any of these, but it looks like bardabe's friend's S14 definitely does. Hell, it had me fooled....so the RHD DID have purpose for that car......he did raise a good point about having a LHD skyline....it wouldn’t be right...and I'll tell ya, that car would win some major awards in some shows. Personally, I think his effort was well worth the time invested, it made the conversion more proper and accurate. (at least from a showcar perspective, as for functionality and everyday purpose, it is utterly pointless IMO)

meh, showcars are crap imho. cars belong on the street and track, not on a pedestal. i go to shows and i see awesome cars and i think "what a waste, it's just going to sit there". i also see a lot of cars at shows and think "wow, that is the stupidest thing i have ever seen."
Uh it was part of
A) an accurate replica. (don't u all agree)
and
B) Having the parts, time , and worth the effort so, "why the hell not?"
I mean sure you guys cna all hate on it it;s been done millions of times. I just wanted to share a good funny Video. so ehhh I still drool over the mother****er it's fast. Whenever we have a chance to go to a Skyline meet and we see a stock or lightly modded GTR R32 I will record and show you guys that in this case the replica is superior due to Power>weight ratios.

I think the swap is pretty bad ***, and well done as far as I can tell. I'm not a fan of rice, but the skylines are sexy, and for you and your friends to go and basically build a skyline replica, then it's pretty bad ***. Besides, so what if it's a replica car. I bet there's a few people on here who like the ferrari kit car that is made from the s30 chassis...
Aside from having to learn to shift again, it makes sense to me in America, because then when you park on the street, you dont have to get out into traffic. (Mail trucks, garbage trucks, other smart trucks) Plus, there is a very small gain in road racing on mostly clockwise tracks, because of the increase in RH weight. Or even on mostly CCW tracks, because you might have a slight advantage on right handers, but might fall back on left handers.
