You guys been playing without me? Geeeees

Thats the fish Barbie, I have 4 of the guys in a 4 foot tank (Its a bit murky at the moment so I wont post pics heehee.
They are salamander lavae, also called Axolotls. Most of the ones you get in the pet store (at least here) cant change to Salamanders though for some reason. Mine are about 7-10 inches long and dont do much heehee

They are interesting pets though and very easy to take care of...and live for up to 15 years so dont have to explain why fishies floating upside down heehee. My guys are about 6 years old now.

Hey snwbrderphat540, my cat is playing fetch with me at the moment...she gets annoyed while im typing cos Im not throwing heehee.

WOW, 15 years? That's a long time for an aquatic pet. So, are they saltwater or freshwater fish, and what are they compatible with as far as tankmates? I wanna get some when I move to Cali.

my fuzzbutt kitten is 14 weeks old now and weighs 6 pounds. maine coon mix--he's killa--named BABY because that's all he answers to--and wears his harness proudly--waits to have lifeline attached before leaving cabin of the boat--has all kinds of tricks now--got him at 5 weeks of age. he's a lover--and a great watch kitty. some dogs are ok--my mom was a SIBERIAN HUSKY BREEDER--THEY eat CATS--OUCH-- but they are soooo beautifull and fuzzy and smart.

Compatible with...err do they make sharks in freshwater? They will eat everything, in fact you can feed them goldfish when they get big (you dont have to)

For dogs I want a Irish Wolfhound...I want a dog I dont have to bend down to pat

Yes, we have freshwater sharks. I've only seen tiny ones though - don't know how big they get. So, I take it that the Mexican Walker is a freshwater fish, and tankmates aren't advisable?

Cool, Shady - can't wait to see your aquatic pets. I inherited an 80 gallon tank and plan to set it up when I move to Cali, so I'm frequently looking at other people's tanks to get ideas.

errr I dont know gallons and tank sizes...we go by length...eg my tank is 4' long and 18" wide...

Barbie, if its a big tank then go for something interesting...Axo's tend to sit on the bottom and do nothing heehee...oh and they also tend to bite each other...so even big fish would be in trouble I think.

When they are finally gone in another decade I think I will get Mudskippers next time...very cool little guys...

You make them a little landscape and pools and stuff to climb on and let them go nuts...
