It didn't break the record, it broke it's own record. Still amazing nonetheless.

And just think in 25 years, they will be just like the z31. Cheap and no longer ahead of its time.

u single the z31 out like the s30 and s130 are high dollar and ahead of time. they are all great cars just different taste. z31 is a great car as well as the others.

they are only worth what people want to pay. i can find a good condition s30 for 2-3k. then go find a late model turbo z31 for around the same amount in louisiana. ill show you noob on gta. run your *** over with a raggedy *** car then you can tell me to get with the times.

Actually I singled out the z31 because when it was released its reviews read almost the same as the gtr. I personally like the z31 just fine. great car, fun to look at, wouldn`t want to own one. No seriously though, the z31 wont ever be worth what the s30 is. I mean classic datsun verse 80 nissan.

I don't think the Z31 ever smoked Corvettes and turbo Porsches on the race track like the GT-R is doing....

lol, idk if its over rated, beating so many of the high end porsche cars on the nurburing with a car thats less than half the price. ask me, thats sometihng that should get hyped up. as for ugly, i think i lost alot of the GTR lines, but its def not ugly.

I don't think it's overrated; considering it's in the ballpark of $75k and it pretty easily takes a 911 turbo. I don't think it's ugly, but like Mike said, it's not beautiful either. I'd buy one. When I go through my mid-life crisis I may consider it over a Z06 or 911 Turbo. Hopefully that doesn't happen for another 20 years.

True! But it doesn't hurt to have outer beauty too...like the 240Z.
