Broken studs!!!

Nothing more fun then spending 20+ $ and a couple hrs to get out 4 broken exhaust manifold studs. 3 of them the previous owner broke >_< and one i broke while backing it out with two nuts. went to home depot and they had broken bolt extractors kinda like easy outs but its a little bit different. its a bit that you drill with in reverse and then you flip it to the other side that has a what a easy out looks like and you reverse drill it out. Well 1 of them came out in ease. then went off to the next one and it ate my bit....talk about **** away 20. went back got another pack. for the life of me i could not get chunk of bit out of the broken stud. so after alot of cussing i went ahead and welded a nut with a washer to the studs. now the studs where not exactly flush with the head so i had to do some quick zips with the welder. anyway the crap back out with ease after just welding nuts to the broken crap. lesson learn. Its been awhile since i have been able to work on the z. so after my engine staring me down every time i drive up to it i had to work on it today. going to tear the guts apart soon as i order some eagle rods...have forged pistons ready to go in,metal headgasket, arp bolts, nismo thermastat,....gotta order cams and a nice turbo but need to send head off to get some head work Just a little update
