1990 Z32 TT engine for sale - $1600 (long block)

This engine was pulled from my Z car in 2004 when a #6 injector replacement (o-ring rolled) caused fuel to leak in cylinder causing hydro-lock in #6 immediately after starting engine. (idling about 600rpm for 2 seconds) This stopped the motor and bent the #6 rod so out came the motor, I disasemble engine and placed the parts in crates, drenched the block in WD-40 and wrap with trash bag and it been in the garage ever since. I purchased a fresh Stillen long-block and had it installed since I needed the car right away (DD). The engine only had 39K ORIGINAL MILES.

History: This car was purchased new in 1990 by my father and barely driven over the years except weekends. Toward the end of his ownership the car would go over 2 months between drives. (baby drives at that - he was in his late 60s). I bought it from my father in 2003 with 28,000 miles!!!! Engine was marinated in in Mobil 1 from day one. I ran it until the injector died. The bent rod never touch the block or hurt anything. You could clean this engine it up, replace the rod and put it back together and run it hard for 70,000 miles if you wanted to. I would spec out the crankshaft before assembly just to be sure. Bearings have not been moved. New rod, gasket kit and you have a 39K turbo motor. When it came out it was producing 405-415HP at 14 psi boost.

You don't find a young motor like this too often anymore! 130-170K complete engines from the junk yards go for a ton, so I'm pretty firm on the price.

If you have to ask if I cried after the injector disaster, the answer is :

More photos: I added a picture of the 1990 TT Z it came out of too.

Many Thanks!

FYI - The 1990 TT Engine is located in Santa Maria/Orcutt, California (central coast). If you are inland, here's a reason to go to the coast!
