I have an E31 head that my father has had since the late 70s. He bought a parts car in the late 70s for his 72 and put the engine in the car around then. The head has around 90K on it and I would be 99.9% sure that it has never been rebuilt or messed with in that fashion. The car ran when it was scrapped two years ago due to just being too rusted out.....Ohio weather.

What are ome opinions on what this would be worth. I am sure that if you slapped it onto a block it would run fine, but obviously if you were going through all of that you would throw new valves in it, etc. just to be safe.

Opinions would be appreciated.

Depends on who wants it. A safe bet would be to tear it down and weigh it and then figure out it's weight in scrap aluminum. But the last I heard e31 heads aren't as desirable now days because most people are opting to doing customized heads.
