Strut Tower Bar

I will making strut tower bars for the rear and engine bay for the 240Z or 280Z. Let me know if anyone is interested in one. I will only charge $50 for each one. They run like $100 I think. If you want it powder coated it will $70 for each one, otherwise I can just spray paint it or you can, its up to you.

Strut Tower Bar:

Rear - $50.00 (spray paint, any color)
$70.00 (powder coated)
Front - $50.00 (" ")
- $70.00 (" ")

This isn't the finished product, the tube is just primered so I can show the detail of the setup. Remember it can be painted any color you want. The bracket still allows you to keep the stock strut tower covers. The front strut bar in the engine bay is the same setup. The brackets are the same in the both the front and rear. I can make it anyway you would like if you don't like this setup. Just let me know.

Just remember that you can buy two for the price of one. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks.

Unless you are doing some hardcore road course Indy style racing, you don't need a roll bar... Why we even talking about roll bars in this thread? Nemesis is selling strut bars for the S30... not roll bars, not strut bars for the S130...

PS... he was selling his 280zxt ( https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...t=23062&page=2 ) so... if it's been sold, he's prolly focusing on the S30.

Google my young one... google.

http://www.innerauto.com/Auto_Part/Strut_Bar/

A strut bar, or commonly known as a strut brace or a strut tower brace, is designed to tie the two opposing strut towers together to form a single unit. This is to minimize the strut tower flex during hard cornering.

When taking a turn, a car's strut towers normally flex. This may cause the losing of some traction. The strut tower brace keeps the strut towers from flexing. They distribute the pressure applied to one strut tower when taking a turn on both towers instead of just one.

This results to improved chassis rigidity. Understeer is reduced, the tire wear is improved and metal fatigue is minimized in the strut tower portion. Adding a brace between these two strut towers is a great way to solidify a vehicle's suspension.

It would help prevent your skull from being scraped along the ground... that's what it's for.

http://www.innerauto.com/Automotive_...rior/Roll_Bar/

The purpose of the roll bar is to protect driver and passengers from injury if the car rolls over onto its roof. A series of tubes that are welded together into a contoured shape, and then bolted directly to the frame members, or rails. Since frame members are located differently on different types of cars, a roll bar is very unique to an individual car, and must be designed for a specific car. Although a roll bar is a very nice feature, it is not always practical, because there isn't a place to mount it. Roll bars are usually put on convertibles as an aftermarket add-on piece. A convertible provides no protection if it overturns. Some cars have built-in "targa" roll bars. These are roll bars that are covered up by body work; they appear to be part of the body. Targa roll bars are generally flat and wide, instead of round like normal roll bars. Because they are wider, they are able to hold up the overturned car. They also look nice, because they look like a body panel. They do reduce rear visibility because of their greater width. Some targa roll bars are purely cosmetic, because they have no frame inside. This type of roll bar affords you about as much protection as the windshield, and so is not really a roll bar. Most cars don't come with roll bars, but all race cars have roll bars. Roll bars themselves are relatively inexpensive, but they usually require quite a bit of expensive installation work. Some roll bars provide better protection than others. If you have a tendency to exceed the speed limit along winding roads or go off roading, you really ought to have a roll bar.

well, learn to play, learn your limits, dont take your lil brother on your dick adventures, wear yourseat belts.... roll bar will stop the roof from crumbling, but you can still be ejected and or crush your head/upper body. and the S30 is a hard car to roll, so whatever you were doing, dont do it again. these are low cars, and arent necessarily narrow, so if you did manage to roll one, you were doing something way wrong. also the S30 doesnt make enough power especially with an open diff to drift, you can get it to slide out, but you will have one hell of a time trying to hold it. oh, and im normally a really nice guy, you will have noticed that when you asked all these turbo questions and i gave you genuine nice answers unlike the other 50% of the other answers from other members, but you gave me an A-hole response when i was just trying to defend the guy and his thread, if he wanted to make and sell roll bars, he woulda. lighten up. now lets get this thread back on track

Hey guys sorry about not replying to all these post, but I just saw them right now. I only make them for the S30's since thats my new car now, oh by the way I did sell the car and now I'm just trying to sell the wheels that were on that car for $400 plus shipping of course, anyways I can do the rear strut bar brace for the S130 just not the motor one yet, Iam working on doing it for the S130 for sure. If anyone wants to order strut bar braces e-mail me at miguel280zx@yahoo.com. Oh and the $50 doesn't include shipping. Let me know.

Also trying to sell these things:

1. (top) Cut outs for the rear bumpers on the S30 where the stock bumper bolts up. Weld them in and get that smooth look in the rear without all the holes. $20 for two.

2. (middle) This so you can mount an aftermarket CD player in your S30. Made out of aluminum. Can be made out of steel or stainless. $20 for raw or $30 for painted or powder coated.

3. (bottom) This a sweet panel for Autometer gauges and switches. It mounts where the stock A/C controls are. Just remove that and it bolts right in using the stock mount tabs that are behind the A/C unit. Looks and works great. I have my boost gauge and Air/Fuel gauges there plus a button and switch for my launch control we just hooked up. I also made it so I could still mount the stock fuel and light lights in there. $40 raw or $50 powder coated. Steel or stainless. You can choose what you want on this panel, your choice.
