well its not the welder that the problem in those its the equipment used.

same type of wire welder i bet you can get at harbor freight for $100 or less that we have in the garage.
it works, i just am not sure if i would trust it to hold a rear sub frame to a car thats going to be putting down any ammount of decent power

I've only seen one other 280zx other than mine that has the '280zx turbo' center light like that.

there's one in the junkyard right now, but it's the early one without the lines or the Turbo on it :O

 

Mine has the 280ZX turbo middle light!

 

I have one that just says 280zx but its got a few cracks, supposed to be more rare than the turbo ones
