I recently overhauled my 92 300zx 2+2 fuel tank..now on a hot day fuel sometimes sprays out of the evaporator canister..(only vapors should be in this line).I need to look and see if there is a line disconnected inside the tank that goes to the plastic vapor cannister...my question is that normally this plastic cannister connects to the top of the tank INSIDE the fuel tank but the clip that held it is gone now..this results in plastic cannister floating on the gas.
so is this a problem? To fix it would be impossible without a new (used) tank which is VERY hard to find and expensive
