What exhaust to get?

I have a 1996 a Nissan 300ZX 2+2 and want to get an aftermarket exhaust system, but have not heard any. Many people have different ideas of what loud is. I have been looking @ the labree system with 2 1/4 piping, h-pipe w/ resonaters, but I dont know how loud it is. I prefer a system that is not too loud, so that i can here my upgraded sound system. If there are any other suggestions just let me know. Thanks

If you don't want loud, get it with resonators (and I could've SWORN all the LaBree/Specialty Z systems were 2.5" or 3" because I believe stock is 2.25").

If you want the largest power increase, though, get HKS Hi-Power.

I checked specialtyz's website & it says they offer the 2 1/4 to help keep the noise level down - which makes me ask Is it obnoxiously loud or just right?

Specialty Z's exhaust is not nearly obnoxiously loud. It's reasonable (as long as you get the resonators). But seriously, do yourself a favor and don't get 2.25" piping... that's so useless. You're going to pay so much for an exhaust that's not going to give you any significant power gains. Get 2.5," the sound isn't that much different. Call Specialty Z if you want more info though, no one has more info on their exhaust than them.

If you are worried about loud you could always get the HKS dual tip NA exhaust, it's very nice and quiet.
