hey guys im new 300zx owner,
i have always wanted one and now that i have one just trying to keep it perfect

there is a weird knock when i let off the gas, it sounds like its coming from the back of the car it only happens when i go over 2500 rpms but im not sure if its the dif or the trans mounts or even an engin mount
if any one has any info would love to hear it

I'd put money on diff bushings. Crawl under there and see if they are worn or missing.

are they expensive and can i do it my self i do a lot of work to cars but i dont have a shop or lift so im limited

 

I'd say center support bearing on the driveshaft is more likely, given the circumstances.
