hello everyone i had a j30 is it the same engine as the 300zx its endine bay tag says vg30de but will performance parts from the 300 fit on this engine, i was also wondering if i need all the abs, a/c climate control and air conditioner itself, power windows, maybe even power steering, also some other air bag crap. will the enbine still work or will there be a check engine light on at all times. The engines going in a 280zx so i don't need any of these amenities since i need the car as light as possible. Any help is appreated.

As for your post... I doubt you'll be converting the 280zx to abs, airbags, etc. The engine doesn't need an airbag to run... there might be kill sensors, but if you use just the engine & ecu, you will be okay. And this thread should prolly be in the 280zx section. Yay!
