looking for vg30de.
Im dumping the TT swap for now. I do not have the funds and resources for it as of now. I know i will kick myself in the *** for this but 4+ is alot, and its my everyday driver so i cant wait 6 months before i can do the swap..
How much is just the vg30de engine worth with no transmission/ecu/
i could just use the engine and use the parts from my car right?
Thanks for any info.
The engine would be the only thing i need to purchase. I fured instead of having some one tare it apart. BUY A WHOLE ENGINE DROP IT IN. RIP THE Other ENGINE APART maybe fix it and sell it. Letme know guys thanks!

Shipping charges are going to kill me!
Shipping from CA -> NY has to be crazy.
Also. Since im no longer doing the entire TT swap just droping in a New VG30DE would cost me? Any Ideas? How long would the "swap" take?
all i need is the block right? I can use everything else from my car. How much should i be looking to spend on the block? Payday is soon, so its time for me to start getting her fixed. Thanks fellas!

You want rebuilt heads, new timing belt and components, water pump and all new accessory belts and hoses at a minimum.
I see rebuilt short blocks in socal for $1200. Rebuilt heads are around $500. the other components are around $500. I see complete rebuilt motors for $2200. All starting prices. Check your local recycler paper.
The places that sell complete front clips charge around $400 shipping. So a motor and tranny shouldn't be more.
Bardabes motor at say $600 - $900 plus shipping should be a pretty good deal considering the 60k maintainance was done which is $500+ in parts alone. That is if he did everything that goes along with the t-belt change. There is less risk spending more money on a rebuilt from a reputable place with a warranty.
If I buy a used motor, it's all based on the price, appearance and seeing what the compression numbers are for each cylinder......... unless of course, I'm buying it for a project that'll get rebuilt, then the price is substantially lower and there's no holes in the sides of the block.
