This will be the third time I have had this problem this year...the car starts to have a bit of a rough start...then a few days later, it takes a few seconds for the starter to turn over...and then it just doesnt turn over anymore

the starter is fine...it was fine the first time i took it to get looked at and was rebuilt just incase. the second time i took it in, they swapped a blue module(i think the security system module) and it started fine after that

...until now, it wont turn over again

battery is charged btw. all the lights on the dash start flashing when i turn the key over.

 

Solenoid?

Check your grounds.

Could your alarm be causing the problem? That happened to me once. The ground for the alarm was loose and prevented the starter from working.

 

I thought you removed the stock alarm?
is your new aftermarket alarm working correctly?

 

havent gotten it installed yet...a few other things came up that needed to be addressed first

but it is starts for now...i dont know how because i was at work when my parents picked the car up. my dad said something about bypassing something in the security system. i would have liked to have killed 2 birds with one stone and get rid of the stock system and install my new one and see if it starts, but my dad took it in and talked to the guy
