see what happens when you know stuff

Guess what I did today?

I installed a pair of HKS SSQV blow off valves.

No, not in my car. Don't be dumb, I have an NA.
Apparently ppl in my area are coming to know me as the guy that knows stuff about Z's. So, I got to install my first pair of blowoff valves today. Nowhere near as hard as i thought it would be. Those air condition lines were a bit problematic, being right next to the recirc valve mounting bolts n all. That was the hardest part of the install. Wish i woulda took some pics.
They turned out well and are REALLY REALLY LOUD. hehe
The owner is really enjoying them.

well, the car was already running a lean condition which we'll soon fix with an injector upgrade. I think the car is hitting the limit of the stock injectors right now.
From what i saw from vova's Blazt program, the A/F that was shown wasn't affected much by the BOV installation.

Same TT, new exhaust.

New HKS Hi-Power, old Genie Turbo exhaust. Needs some cleaning up but still in good shape.
Difference was definitely noticeable. Improved throttle response was the most noticeable difference. Sounds alot better than genie, but then again, the Genie was designed to be quiet.
Next upgrade.....the dreaded turbo timer. Bwaaahaahaaa.....

Hey, Rizz, how loud are those cans on your NA? I'm leaning toward the Sebrings, but am unconvinced how much difference the resonators will make. Just the Sebring cans on the stock H-pipe and my head buzzed when I drove the car.

So no, those aren't on my car. If you notice the pic of them on the car, you'll see the HICAS system.

I will say that i kinda agree with you if i understand you're last statement right. Loud exhausts are nice but do give me a headache on extended driving trips.

And to answer your questions, the HKS exhaust is on eof the most free flowing and the loudest.

Well, because you have an NA and you're comparing it to a turbo car. I had greddy on my car, many other guys in my club had stillen, on e guy had sebring, but Charles Park's HKS was the loudest.

The turbo's act as a resonator. Turbo cars are generally quieter.
