O2 sensors

O2 sensors

How hard is it to change them because i cant even see them..i can feel them but only barely see them...anyone have any special ways that i am not figuring out..or am i just letting the car be more smarterer than I?

most recommend a O2 tool available at your local parts store for about $10-12. The passenger side is more accessible if you remove the battery. Practice calisthentics for the driver side. Many find it necessary to use a rachet with a couple of swivel joints to accomplish the job.

(Then there are those of us with an additional 2 after the cats (OBD II). And that's a different story totally.)

whatever you do, just be sure to get that special sensor removal wrench.

O2 Wrecnches are basically pipe wrecchs..all the do is keep you from stipping the bolts. The tool lightspeed is referring to looks like a deep well socket, with a section cut out on the side like an arch way of a door. This cut out is so that you dont mess the wires up on the O2 sensor. If you dont understand what I mean, you will once u get the tool. It will make life much easier.

If you haven;t done it already, removing the battery and the master cylinder make it much easier also.
