no injector pulse

no injector pulse

Hi all ... quick question for all the Z guru's watching tonight... i am stuck.. what are the possible motives of the injector coils not sending a pulse to the injectors ????

Injector coils? Please elaborate. Tell us about the problem you're having.

I was unaware that inanimate objects could have motives.

Sorry for not explaining myself.... little frustrated... :chug: ok better.. just dropped the new engine when i try to crank it.. i am getting spark to the plugs but I am not getting and pulse reading to the injectors.. what else drives the the injectors besides the ecu.. already ran ecu diag and no codes come out.. any clue..

The wires that run to the fuel injectors come straight from the ECU. You'll need to check for continuity from the injector back to the ECU. I don't recall which PIN at the ECU is for that particular injector. There is a link to an online factory service manual here https://www.zdriver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8434.
You should be abe to find all the info you need to run the test from there.


You could try this....unplug the EFI harness from the ECU and plug it back in. Maybe you just have a bad connection.

It could be your crank angle sensor. It tells the ECU where the engine is, so to spray fuel in at the right time. I bet, if you just dropped that motor in. That either you may have accidentially left it unplugged, or it could be faulty. If you need, i can post the testing procedure online.
