na->tt p/s belt alignment

i just swapped out my tt p/s pump for a n/a one and everythng was going smooth until i tried to put the belt back on. the n/a shaft is shorter than the tt one so the belt doesn't line up right with the crank. anyone have a solution for this? i already have the n/a bracket in and triple checked it. i'm stumped. i've read alot of people swapping the tt pump for the n/a one but i don't think anyone has written up a remedy for this problem. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

Welcome to ZDriver!

What was the reason for the swap? Have you tried to swap the shafts (if possible)?

The NA pws pump is smaller and provides less drag on the motor. Plus
the TT pump has two chambers, one for the front and one for the rear. So if you eliminate the HICAS what
do you want the fluid pumping back there for? Like with the return fittings Stillen supplies for their HICAS
elimination bar. You also don’t want to just disconnect all of that and still run a TT pump, because it
requires lubrication in the rear chamber provided by the fluid. So if converting you would hopefully stay
with the NA pws pump. The mounting brackets and bolts on the block for the PWS pump are different for
the TT and NA as well as the length of the bolt that the pump pivots on.

I got this off Z1 that should help you

i just did the n/a differential swap and had the lines for the HICAS running in a loop. I wanted to get rid of those lines cause there was a leak where the two lines for the HICAS that went to the rear. buying p/s fluid every other day adds up. so i had a n/a p/s pump from my other car and decided to put it in. so now the n/a pump doesn't go out as far so the belt is not parallel. can i run it like this or is there something else i can do?
