n00b to 300zx

hi there... my name is bart

just a few days ago, my friend purchased a 1990 Nissan 300zx N/A.

well since it being stock at 220+ HP, he wants to increase it more untill he orders the JDM 300zx TT engine and we put that in.

What mods can he do without adding Nitrous/Turbo/SC?

he was thinking of getting a chip...would that be good? what gains would he see?

anyother ideas???

traditionally the first mods are a
JWT pop charger (intake)
then
Cat-Back exhaust
then
a JWT ECU
and at some point a UD pulley

those together should be worth a bit less than forty horses, but if you add headers then you get another twenty horses or so. either way, make sure the car is in good working order first. good luck with trying to put the TT engine in.

Sell the NA and find a TT before you go through the trouble of finding a TT engine to put it in it.

You'll be happier in the end unless you like to work on the car, it's not something a first time enginer puller would do..
