Hello everyone, Newbie could use some help
I would like to replace the fuel injectors in my 1991 TT. I'm somewhat mechanicaly inclined but want to make sure I understand how big a job this is.
I've searched a few of the popular sites for "How to's" but can't find anytings wioth pics.
Can anyone say a few words on how big a job replacing fuel injectors is? Or better yet direct me to a site with a good HOW TO.
Thanks
Kevin

There's two ways to do this. You can dremel out the plenum a little to get to it or pull the plenum. Pullind the plenum can be a somewhat big job...there's just a bunch of stuff on it that you need to remember where they go. I suggest some making tape and a sharpie. If you chose to dremel, only take off what you need to, you don't want a hole in your plenum.

You will need the upper plenum gasket as well as the injectors and both O rings per injector. For a good how to take a look at this.Plenum removal/injector replacement

Best sugggestion..get a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL! Or use Rizzs link page and use the online one. Pulling the plenum realy isnt that bad of a job..the wost thing is the four egr bolts that go under the plenum. U almost need a GM distributor wrench to get to them. Everything else is kind of plug and play. I would highly suggest making good notes and taking alot of pictures because they are extremely helpful. Good luck..and BTw WELCOME
