Funny smell

Hey guys....

I was driving the Z a few minutes ago, and was kinda worried. First, when I put the car in Overdrive from Park, I heard a low rumble. Also, when driving, I started to smell something. Kinda smelled like break fluid or antifreeze. Any clues on what the diagnosis could be?

Does the smell come from the exhaust pipe, or the engine compartment?

Burning ATF has a pretty distinct smell. have someone drive down the road behind you to see if there's smoke coming from your car. Check your tranny fluid level when it's hot. Take a whiff, is that the smell? Is it brown or red?

Oooo, didn't think of that. Ever thought about a manual tranny conversion?
