So I took the GT-R out for a little solo cruise last night. I don't drive it much and I felt like it was about time to put a few miles on it.

So I'm out in Oceanside Ca. Minding my own business when these two Marines in a mid 90's Mustang Cobra pull up along side me and start rapping on the throttle in an effort to entice me into racing them.

I'm smarter than that.

So we go several blocks and at each red light, they do the same thing. At one point, the driver rolls down his window and call me a *****.

He failed to see the Oceanside PD car that had been right behind me for about 5 blocks

So the light turns green and this dude MASHES the throttle!

Tires spinning, smoke billowing, rear end twisting... red and blue lights flashing!

The cop shot around me like a rocket and instantly pulled the idiot over.

I continued on down the road at exactly the speed limit with a huge smile on my face.

I win.

I think it's just a Mustang thing.

Some guy in a new Cobra did the same thing to me in my Miata today, without the cop though. I'm like dude... it's a freakin Miata.

They just want to go fast.

yeah, dude in a cobra called me johny tran when he pulled next to me in my s2000... it truly is a mustang thing. p.s. this thread is like 2 and a half years old.

 

I think it's more of a male thing lol, same thing happened to me and my brother in his 07' Mustang, only it was a 350Z that challenged us, we destroyed it, but hey, a 300zx twin turbo can beat a 350z.
