Brake "light" inquiry

I had a question. Whenever I brake a light comes one that says "brake light", is this suppose to happen because none of my brake bulbs are burned out and the fuses are good. thanks

You may consider replacing the taillight bulbs if it really annoys you. You may have one >going< bad. Or you could just wait for it to possibly burn out...

I had a situation earlier with a blinker acting up (blinking fast on the right side, but normal on the left) - again with no burnt out bulbs. I replace one that seemed a bit duller than the others and the problem went away. I am convinced that the car is clairvoyant...or posessed.

I'm leaning towards posessed.

Check the 3 bulbs in the 3rd brake light.

My guess is one of those is burnt out.

The other possibility that i have found is if you have the J-spec tail light upgrade. I dunno if u have done this or not, but when u install these u need to put US-spec bulbs in. If not, your brake lamp indicator will come on. It has something to do with the voltage being pulled i think, I just know when I put em my car replacing ALL the tail light bulbs was the only solution. Good Luck!

Any light that does not use the full 12 volts per flash or activation will pass the remaining voltage on to the flasher (hyper fast flash) or warning light (brake light). Please excuse the laymens terms. You either have a bad or partially bad bulb. The first gen led bulbs also had this problem because they did not have resistors to use up all the voltage.

Rogue the resisters are current limiters, if I remember right. Haven't stayed with my electronics in years. Also WhiteFairlady is right about the Jspec tails, I had the same problem until I changed the bulbs to us 1157's. The sensor is based on current draw and the japanese bulbs have a different draw. That's the way I understood it anyway.
