I don't think it's very beneficial at all.

They're good for tuning the car, but if you're asking this question, I really don't think you should be tuning your own car.

They're good for splicing MAF sensor signals on dual-pop intake cars, but you'll never have a use for that on a non-turbo.

Really, the only thing I could see you using one as is a fancy, overly-expensive gauge. (I will admit, though, that I LOVE being able to set my Apex-i AVC/R to monitor RPM, Injector Duty Cycle, speed, and everything else that units like the S-AVC/R and S-AFC are able to monitor... I just don't think that the usefulness outweighs the cost for a non-turbo Z).

And seeing from your other post that you really want an HKS Hi-Power exhaust, just spend the money on that, because it'll be much more beneficial to you to have a great cat-back like the HKS instead of a tuning tool like an Apex-i S-AFC.

From what I've been seeing, they're good for around 20 w.h.p. when properly dialed in. You'd need to go to a dyno shop where, either yourself or the dyno guy, would need to know how to dial it in. I've seen dyno charts in the 202 - 207 w.h.p. range with SAFC, intake and exhaust. iirc, we're 170 - 180 w.h.p. stock.

I would see someone actually hurting performance without the proper dial in.

I've been watching them on ebay, and will get a used one for around $150.

So what part of the input did you not get??????? That there's a potential 20 w.h.p. increase?????? That's awesone that you can get one for free....... I wish I had your connections.

are you aware that unless you have wideband O2 sensors, that's an ENTIRELY useless function since the OEM narrowband O2 sensors don't assign a number value to the rich/lean conditions?

The ones that are on your car from the factory are narrowband... monitoring those won't do sh*t. You'd have to buy wideband O2 sensors and monitor those.
