AC Pressure Switch
AC Pressure Switch
I inherited a 1990 300zx TT and it has been at the dealer with several issues. The final nagging problem is an AC Pressure Switch that seems to keep failing (not sure what that means). The mechanic at the dealer was consulting with "Nissan" when I called to get an update. The issue sounds really simple. Why would they need to call Nissan for help with the problem?

Thanks NismoPick,
I have been thinking the same thing. They've had my car for 2 weeks and repaired the injector system, clutch slave, the master cylinder, and other little stuff. And now they are screwing around with this. I want my car!!

I'm not super familiar with the Z32 ac, but they should be able to easily replace the pressure switch. Also, I suggest converting to R134a refrigerant so you don't pay an astronomical price for R12. https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki...34A_Conversion
According to the dealer service rep, the issue is more of an electrical issue than an AC system issue "...sometimes it works/cools and sometimes it doesn't...". Also, the AC system is original so I do plan to make the conversion. Is there any chance the conversion will correct the electrical problem? ie. less electrical strain ...
