yeah but we always get on the right track, and most of the times when we do get off topic is when the problem was solved, or at least offered solution....or when the problem has been found

Just an FYI, this is what you should expect to see. It's intimiating getting to this point, but reassembly is always easier than disassembly.

This timing belt had approx 70k on it. It was very loose. The idler pulleys could be spun manually.

Thanks. My dad did this kinda crap for a living. He was an extended powertrain warranty inspector. Basically, if you bought an extended warranty and the car broke down, my dad was the person the insurance company called to go out and take pictures and try to determine what really happened. That was when I 1st learned to never trust dealerships and repair facilities. What a bunch of crooks.
