Anybody in either the Monterey bay area (San Jose), bay area (San Fransisco) or in the socal area that has done a 60K before? I need to do mine coming up here pretty soon and I want to try to do it myself, but it'd be cool if I had some ehlp from someone woh's done it before. Whoever is willing would be compensated for their time.

 

your z has under 60k....is it a stock engine.... mine is at 80k now

Here's where to get the parts for it.
Since you gotta remove the pulley and radiator, this would be the perfect time to replace both. Also, the lower radiator hose/pipe kit would be perfect here. The coolant temp. sensor and the temp. gauge sensor might be candidates for replacement at this point as well.

I was thinkin someone in CA would answer to this post...maybe..it was worth a try. I don't feel comfortable changing my timing belt by myself, so i was hoping someone who's done it before or has enough experince with stuff like that, so that they might be willing to come help me. then I'd learn and could do it myself next time or help someone else do it. if not, i'm gonna do the top half (already done quite a bit of it) and then take it to someone to do the bottom.

Are you gonna call someone to help you on it or just to do it. Personally, I want to learn how to do it since I plan on keeping my Z for a LONG time and I plan on doing the next one and at least the one after..then on my new motor after that, so I want to learn. Also, it'd be cool b/c I could help other people do it.
