60K experience

Anybody in either the Monterey bay area (San Jose), bay area (San Fransisco) or in the socal area that has done a 60K before? I need to do mine coming up here pretty soon and I want to try to do it myself, but it'd be cool if I had some ehlp from someone woh's done it before. Whoever is willing would be compensated for their time.

No it's almost time for the 2nd 60K. Feel me? I'm at about 104K right now. I WISH it had under 60K!

Links!

Here's how to do it.

http://store.yahoo.com/sgpracing-sto...03060ksek.html

Here's where to get the parts for it.
Since you gotta remove the pulley and radiator, this would be the perfect time to replace both. Also, the lower radiator hose/pipe kit would be perfect here. The coolant temp. sensor and the temp. gauge sensor might be candidates for replacement at this point as well.

Sure, I'll be there.
All you gotta do is send me the plane tickets. Reserve and pay for a hotel (5 star please). Buy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be sure you have all the tools you'll need. Then I'll be more than happy to help you.

Holiday Inn? Don't they have anything nicer than that in Chicago? Since he's in the Monterey area, have him hook you up at somewhere nice, like the Double Tree.

Of course they do.
I was just being nice and said the Holiday Inn for where he lives. Why would I want a hotel room here where I live? He wants me to go over to Cali where he's at to help him out. Hell, I'll settle for a Motel 6! As long as it's not a couch, I'm not that picky.

I didn't mean a Holiday Inn in Chicago. I meant that if a Holiday Inn was the nicest place in Chicago, then you may have thaught that was the best they had to offer in Monterey. Sarcasm mis-interpreted. My-bad.

I was jk, I don't expect you to come here, Rizz. You didn't think i was being serous did you. If so thanks for being willing to come! thats pretty nice of you! I was thinkin someone in CA would answer to this post...maybe..it was worth a try. I don't feel comfortable changing my timing belt by myself, so i was hoping someone who's done it before or has enough experince with stuff like that, so that they might be willing to come help me. then I'd learn and could do it myself next time or help someone else do it. if not, i'm gonna do the top half (already done quite a bit of it) and then take it to someone to do the bottom.

Awwwww man I was up to a trip too!
I was even looking forward to getting my hands dirty.
Besides, I'd never been out to Cali and was kinda looking forward to it. I figure that the flight and hotel would've been cheaper than taking your car to the dealer as well. Like you'd take your car to the dealer anyway.

its not the fact that it might be hard that makes me warry. Its the fact that if I mess something up even a slight bit, there goes my motor.

Are you gonna call someone to help you on it or just to do it. Personally, I want to learn how to do it since I plan on keeping my Z for a LONG time and I plan on doing the next one and at least the one after..then on my new motor after that, so I want to learn. Also, it'd be cool b/c I could help other people do it.
