z32 noob needs help finding part or how to fix.

i have a 1992 z32 2+2 black. I'm looking to change my tail light area with the newer light panels a long with the new center piece. The long plastic panel that's at the end of the trunk hatch panel is what i can't find. It's the plastic part that usually says "Nissan" on the far left. Mine is a dark red color and is cracked every where. I've seen a lot of Z's with that plastic part completely black making it look a lot nicer. I don't know if that's how some of the Z's came stock or if all those were modified. If anyone can help lead me to where i can buy that part or explain how to modify it the correct way. I know this is such a noob question, but i really want to get it done. thanks

Rick

it's called a third brake light. do a google search for "300zx third brake light" and look for a vendor web site. other than that, look in the classified sections of some forums. i'll post some links later. i have to go take a test.

they all came black, the red ones are just faded with age.

Order one from a local Nissan dealership and pick it up at the dealership. Then it is not your problem if it cracks in shipment (and most of them do when ordered from vendors).

Furthermore, CZP (Coz) is no longer a reputable vendor.
