Transmission compatibility

Hi guys,

I know you are probably sick and tired of hearing about AT to MT conversions but I really need clarification as I am about to do a conversion on my 1996 Z32 N/A

What I need to know is
- will any transmission from 90-96 fit?
- can I use a TT tranny on an N/A engine

I know what else is involved and all the parts I need to acquire.

I did it and theres was 2 hangups on the issue, Running the clutch line with the engine in is near impossible, And My engine was a weirdo which had an undersized hole for the pilot bushing making it so I couldnt stab the trans in. I ended up using a ball hone the OD size of the transmission shaft and ran it though the center of the pilot bushing after I got it installed. so far no issues.

And apparently any trans from any Z32 will work. if you use a TT flywheel in an N/A trans you have to shim out your starter.

That would have been nice to know about when I did that swap! But I think the hardlines will be more reliable over time
