my bad B....i like to drive what can i say... i hit 145 in that Z B...stock at the time, than many times i got it up to 140... when i had that f50 wing on it and that front bumper... combat style or whatever... car felt great at speeds of 120+ and i felt i had more torque than lets say going 70 in 5th... my Z before that i got to pin the speedo
that was when i was 17
, and i would pin that thing every other weekend coming home from richmond.
how is the z32tt from a role type situation on the highway? like 70-120 and like 120+? does it accelerate hard or do u need time and alot of space? in my 240 i hit 120 like nuttin, but after that it took alot of time and even more space.
I don't think I was much over 160. Maybe 165 max. There was still quite a bit of room to redline. I hadn't had it very long. It was like 2AM on highway 280 near Palo Alto (between Page Mill and Sand Hill for those of you familiar with the area). The freeway was sloping slightly downhill. I was surprised at how smooth it felt. The car stuck to the road. I hit 125 in my N/A Z31 comin' down the Grapevine. That was kinda scary. It felt like I was floating. I hit 120 in my Dad's '74 911. I used to love driving that car. He rebuilt the engine after about 300k. When he got it back together, it had a problem with a low idle. That problem went away after I drove it.
Dad was pissed. He knew that I took it out without him knowing and flogged the sh*t out of it. A friend of mine had a 2wd Subaru SVX. I loved that car. It was like sittin' in the cockpit of a fighter jet. We hit about 140 one night racing with a BMW 633. I love goin' fast. I think I may like hard acceleration more though.
soon to be.....To answer your question...Yes, the Z32 TT pulls hard to 120. When I hit 160, I was surprise at how quickly it got there. I figured I'd need much more distance to get there. Keep in mind the downward slope of the freeway at the time I did it. Also keep in mind that eventhough I had the chip, I wasn't boosting 14-15 psi. Crappy chip or wrong boost jets. From what I can tell, it mainly removed the speed limiter.
