TCU (Transmission Control Unit) Interchangeability)

TCU (Transmission Control Unit) Interchangeability)

Need some help from a Z32 GURU concerning if any TCU are interchangeable between years (excluding 96 with ODB-II)?
For example; I have a 1993.2 NA 2+2 with P/N 31036-45P00 or is the P/N A64-000-M61. I did find some 93.09 to 1995.07 TCU P/N 31036-46P00 / P/N A64-000-M68. My question there is a difference in the P/N's but looking at the 94-FSM the wiring is the same. I'm just wondering if they are interchangeable. Maybe the MFG used a different circuit inside or upgrade the TC-Software for better shifting performance.
Thanks

No, I ended up rebuilding the transmission myself after replacing the TCU, I was hoping the transmission control was at fault.
The Trans had a leak (crack) in on of the "clutch pack" near the mfg weld, a common problem I learned later.
I hope this help.
