I developed a realliy bad squeal at high rpms. After several hours I have it narrowed down to the fan clutch, but cant find anything on squealing fan? Anyone heard of an OEM Fan doing this?

Get some belt dressing or check belt tension. The fan cannot squeal, but belts can.

I have squeeling sometimes right when i start my car up and i have just about replaced everything and it still does it so i think my fan clutch could squeel too.

But is the belt TIGHT enough? A classic sign that the belt isn't tight enough is a squeal @ start up...

Belts are tight and new, have replaced everything else. I am going to pull the fan off and see if it goes away only thing I have left to do. I pulled both belts, one at a time nd it still squeals.

It's probably a cam belt tensioner or water pump then

I tightened the belt a ton past the point it should be compared my other cars. Unless the belt on the water pump is supposed to be tighter than belts normally would be. plus sometimes when i down shift it can just chirp a little.

if he pulled both belts how could you say it was the water pump? there wouldn't be anything there to move it.

There's three belts so may have missed one (P/Steering + Water / Alt + Aircon)

if he says both then i'm assuming he doesn't use a/c because of horsepower gains

It is the fan clutch. Took the Fan off and it no longer happens.

Oh and took the AC and PS belts off. Did not want to run the car without the WP going.
