So I'm buying my Z32

I found an amazing deal on the car I've allways wanted - She just needs some TLC. And treatment for her cancer. She has a pretty serious case of it. But nothing that can't be undone. This is going to be a long term project for me and I'm going to have to learn alot of new skills - welding, metal shaping, body and paint; and I'll be asking some of the more experienced members for some advice. I'm going to sign up at my local community college for a mig welding course tomorrow.

She's going to get stripped to the bare frame, sandblasted and brought back to glorius life - With a brand new, Japanese spec, twin turbo heart of V6-DOHC glory.

I'm looking forward to sharing my progress with you guys. And hopefully some time next year I'll be able to share 300 RWHP

well unles you got 20K+ on your pocket or bank account. alot of back up from shops and such, tools and knowledge on the Z32 go for it. other than that expect a little more than one year.

Well, if it doesn't me a year it'll take me two, and if it doesn't take me two, it'll take me three. I'm in no rush.

I'm going to be off of work for quite some time due to a work related injury, so the time that I have available makes of for the money that I don't. Although I'll be doing ALL the work, from welding to painting, I'm expecting to be throwing at least $10k into this car, right from the get-go, probably another $5k on top of that before I'm done. But I'd still rather do that than go out and spend $15,000 on something and not know what's underneath the pretty paint; right ?

Thanks, but I have the car already - Picked it for $800. Not a bad deal I think. The interior is MINT not even a crack on the drivers seat, and the back seats look like they were never sat in.

Yes, it's 2+2. Yes, it's NA. And yes, I'm going to do the NA>TT Conversion. But no, I haven't lost my mind yet. I've been reading throught the tech sections of TT.net, hybridz.org, zdriver.com and any other place that has even a mention of the VG30dett for the past 6 months and I think I'm prepared to tackle this project. BTW, after sitting for 10 months, with a new battery, the car started on the first crank.

hey, you want to buy a running VG30DE for your shell - already pulled out of the car!!
