Slicktops were available from 1990 to 2001 when they discontinued the Z32. It was usually a special order car since most of the ones that made their way to the US were stripped and turned into race cars. I have a 1992 Slick top. I know they were available in both N/A and TT variations, but i ve never heard of a Automatic slicktop. N/A slicktops are rare enough, your EXTREMELY lucky to find one that came factory TT.

They never made TT slicktops nor 2+2 TT in North America. However, they did make 2+2 TT in Europe that I know of. They only made them from 90-96 in America, all the way to 99 in Japan BTW. And I owned one, and I never have seen an automatic either.

Yeah they did...they made TT slick tops. Z1 has a picture of one in their showroom. From what we can tell, it has all the right numbers. Everything matches. The only thing is that it was stripped down into a race car.

Technically they didnt make any Z cars in America. Sorry had to say that! Well, as far as many people, Z owners that is, slicktops dont exist either. People always ask me if i had it custom done and how much did it cost. Nissan never marketed the Z32 without T-tops. It was a special order vehicle from what i have read. There are as many slicktops in the US as what were ordered from Nissah, Japan. If that is true though, then all the pics of the old Z32 race cars with TTs and slicktops were custom done then?

Everyone keep sayin "IN NORTH AMERICA", I was kiddin cause I was readin it wrong. You guys ment "FOR NORTH AMERICA". I was actin dumb. But seriously, I dunno about the slict tops. You may be right, they may have built tt slick tops, but they may not have been sold in the US. I guess I ve been feelin argumentative lately.

To Clear a few things up, here are some number for production of the Z32 from 1993-96, that all that is up... Also as you can see the Slicktops only came in Stickshift transmission, and from what I've heard and researched they only came in cloth, although it cant be 100% verified....

Pretty sure these arent exact, but theres more info if any of you guys are interested....

Dead thread I know, but I was amazed to find out that there were 20 Slicktops with auto transmissions built for the first year (1990) almost all of them were California cars. I've never come across one, but would do what ever I had to to buy it just for the rarity. Yes in the us all Slicktops were N/A and cloth seats, they were considered a base model. About 2500 sold in us 1990-1996. There were TT Slicktops sold in Japan most were used for racing but a few can be found and imported now.

There were definitely factory TT slicktops in Japan. This is mine I drove while in Japan and shipped back with me.
