1. open the trunk.
2. get in the car and close and lock the doors with the drivers side switch.
3. put the key in and out of the ignition 6 times in 10 seconds.
4. unlock and lock the doors with the drivers side switch.
5. push the lock button on the remote till the car responds (my hazards flashed).
6. unlock the doors with the drivers side switch, open the driver door and close it.
7. put your left leg in, put your left leg out. do the hokey pokey.
should work after that. and i dont believe the radio is tied to the alarm at all.

ebay. i got one that is made by a company called keyless ride. it's not exactly the same as the stock one, but it works fine, is brand new, and has a warranty. it's cheaper tha any of the used original ones i could find, and those were all kinda beat up. paid about 40 bucks, and it was here in 3 days.

keyless ride
yup, i got mine from them too, just make sure your car has keyless entry, you can quickly check if you happen to have the original sales sticker or if you want to check the passenger side foot well, under the carpet and behind the wood (yes wood) to the right of the ECU is the little keyless entry computer, i am pretty sure its there on the 96 models standard and 94 and 95 were options, not sure about 93.
oh the keyless ride remotes work great!

Possible to add remote control power trunk switch to '91?
Hey fellas,
Has anybody successfully retrofitted an OEM remote power trunk switch to an early model Z32? I know I can upgrade to remote control power locks for the doors, but wasn't sure if I could include the trunk and the local shop wasn't sure if a solenoid would even fit in the trunk latch space. If not, would I be able to install a '94 power trunk latch? Sure would be nice to open the trunk with the push of a button if I have my arms full!
Hope this question hasn't been asked elsewhere - I searched but didn't find any related threads.
Thanks

Nope, doesn't look like anyone has ever installed a remote power trunk switch. I was hoping to do the same thing about a week ago, but no luck. If you really want one just sell your current Z and buy a '94 or later model with that option installed.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
